Laneace Lee

Executive Director & Founder, RN, ADN, BSN

Laneace Lee is a woman of influence who has transcended the definition of servitude with a humble gracious attitude!  Even as a youth, you could find her volunteering and yielding her skills to assist in any way she could. This mindset led her to Wayne Community College where she received her Associate's Degree in Nursing(ADN) in 2002. She persevered and in 2003, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing(BSN) from East Carolina University.

Now with her credentials backing her, she was able to pursue her passion for service with a unique blend. For over twenty years, Laneace has served as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, where she helps care for mothers and newborns before, during, and after birth. She exercises great poise as patients look to her for information, reassurance, and guidance in handling a delicate new life, new family member, and entirely new experience. She consistently uses a great bedside manner to meet their emotions with compassion, addresses their questions with a calm and honest attitude, monitors their pain with proper treatment and support, and prioritizes the health and safety of their newborns. While out in the community Laneace is often stopped by former patients who eagerly wave and share stories of their delivery experience! It is because of this great care one patient even named her newborn after her.

As a nursing clinical instructor for several years, she taught many striving nursing students to become the best in their fields.  Her strategy was to serve those in need with holistic care. She strives to teach and encourage others to live healthy from the inside out.

Through her service, she has encountered many people who have fallen on hard times! Left without a secure option to receive a hand up and a lack of resources for total comprehensive care. Often moved to compassion she would make up the difference out of her pocket to ensure those connected to her did not lack. Hope Now House Incorporated was conceptualized simply from this fateful reality! And her strong-willed desire "to be the change she wanted to see in the community" she served!

She is a trailblazer and now a community advocate who will most assuredly knock down barriers to ensure her community flourishes!  At her side encouraging her to successfully accomplish this mission and her dreams have always been her husband, Jewel Lee. Along with their four beautiful children, Nyla Charisma, Jada Morgan, Ava Rose, and Joel Louis!
